About Me
My name is Jennifer Gold.
I am a third grade teacher, which is how my love for website design and graphics
actually started! In 2002, I started a free Geocities site, that was dedicated to my
students and their parents, to foster communication and learning outside of the
classroom. In 2004, I tried the program Frontpage in a free online trial, and
loved the things I could do with it, compared to the free Geocities program. I
bought it immediately, and that's how
www.mrsgoldsclass.com came about! As my site got bigger and bigger, I
began to look more and more for appropriate graphics to decorate them with.
Ultimately, I found my favorite websites that I became a faithful customer to.
These websites, such as Graphic Garden, Whispy Hollow, Cute Colors, and Thistle
Girl Designs became my favorites because of their "cute kid" graphics, as well
as their bright colors. I never thought I'd be one day designing my own
graphics, but one day I found a free trial of Paint Shop Pro online, and just
like Frontpage, I tried it out. It took me a while to learn how to work it, as I
was teaching myself, but one day it seemed to click and I began to do "decent"
work! Then, another door opened for me when I found the "pixel world" of tubes
and line art! Since I was just beginning to learn how to design graphics, these
pixel sites really pushed me to see that maybe I COULD possibly have my own
graphics site one day! My graphics are
especially dedicated to teachers around the world who are looking for graphics
to design their classroom pages with.
On a more personal note, I was just married in July 2006, to the love of my life and best friend- Adam! We've had a busy year, with getting married, going to Hawaii, and then purchasing our first house! Besides website design and graphics, I also have a fond love for dancing! I've danced since I was 6 years old (jazz, tap, and hip hop). I danced at the same studio growing up in NJ, and then when I went to college, I was a Clemson Dancer. (I went to Clemson University, in South Carolina) When I returned from college, I went back to my old studio and started dancing in the adult classes, and in the summers I began teaching dance at a local community college. Recently, I have stopped teaching dance, but still continue to take classes every week at my old studio. It's really rejuvenating and great exercise!
I just want to say thank you to everyone out there who will be supporting my graphics site. Please spread the word about this site, and use my graphics! I hope that you enjoy what I have to offer here, and let me know if you have any requests.
